Greetings!
The Tablet PC team has been extremely busy over the past few months. We are working to update the remainder of the scores and recordings on this site and hope to have that done by the end of April. We look forward to working with other students and instructors of music theory to use this site as a teaching tool.
Recently, I was able to visit DePauw University. The Computer Science Department received the HP Grant for Tablet Technology. It was so exciting for me to be in a room full of Tablet users. I made a few presentations regarding my own work, and I hope to start a collaborative analysis group with the music faculty.
March has been the month of ATMI/CMS conference planning. I have been able to bring my Tablet to exciting places such as Salt Lake, Atlanta, and Gettysburg. Throughout all the meetings, I am taking notes and drawing plans on my tablet. How great to return to ASU and have the plans laid out !! I can imagine my organization skills without it!
Lastly, I have begun to integrate the Tablet into my lower levels of theory. The collaboration is amazing. There is nothing better than seeing a student point at the screen with the stylus trying to explain an analysis to a classmate. Well, to me anyways..
